2008 Rock & Roll Half Marathon

The Imagine 2008 1st Annual Rock & Roll Half Marathon is a non-competitive half marathon fundraiser organized in the loving memory of Joey Stott, an exceptional human being who left us far too soon! Our goal…to prevent suicide and defeat the negative social stigma surrounding the issue. Every dollar raised from last year’s event went directly to suicide awareness campaigns, research and education.
Where: 17 minutes south of Winnipeg in Niverville, MB.
Date: Saturday, September 27th, 2008
Time: 9:00 a.m.
Please encourage family and friends to attend, cheer you on, and to partake in all the activities planned. If you are unable to run or walk in the event, you can still participate by Signing Up as a Volunteer. We still need people and there’s always room for one more.
This is a timed event but not an officially sanctioned run.
Race day registration 7:00 - 8:30 a.m. (Cash or cheque only)
Countdown time starts @ 8:30 a.m.
Opening ceremonies @ 8:45 a.m.
The run will start promptly @ 9:00 a.m.
Entertainment will be located along the entire route & at the start / finish line, to keep you motivated.
Water and aid stations will be available along the route. Refreshment & food are available for finishers. There will also be a BBQ with hotdogs for a toonie.
Post race massages and reflexology will be available $5 for 15 minutes.
