UPDATE: The results originally posted were incorrect. These have been replaced with the combined results of the 10k Fun Run/Walk and Half Marathon Run. Thanks Vic and Richard for letting us know!

The Imagine Team has been working hard to raise awareness about suicide and advertise the Rock & Roll Half Marathon through advertising, word of mouth, media and community support. As we’re gearing up for Imagine 2008, please take a moment to remember last year’s personal marathon that one woman ran in memory of her son. This was the beginning of IMAGINE.
Mona’s Story was written by Darryll Zurbyk and published in the July / August 2008 edition of the Running Room Magazine. It’s an incredible story documenting the devastation of suicide and how a rural Manitoba family turned their loss into what has become the first major mental illness awareness campaign in Manitoba.

The phrase “miles of entertainment” just took on a whole new meaning!?? Big Daddy Tazz will be riding the Looney Express and providing early-morning groggy runners with the motivation that they need for the half marathon that awaits them in Niverville, MB!
Be sure to request the free bus ride to the race site when you register online at the Running Room.?? If you have already registered and somehow managed to overlook this insanely fun opportunity, contact the Race Administrator, Darryll Zurbyk.
You won’t be sore from running, you’ll be sore from laughing all the way TO and FROM the Rock & Roll thriller!

This event is a non-competitive half marathon fundraiser organized in the loving memory of Joey Stott, an exceptional human being who left us far too soon!
Our goal???to prevent suicide and defeat the negative social stigma surrounding the issue. Every dollar raised from last year???s event went directly to suicide awareness campaigns, research and education.
